Valladolid waits for you in the street. Exhibition of photos of Jesus González (Doing Clack)

«Valladolid offers us to me and to my camera a daily spectacle to which I can only correspond with
ephemeral consolation of a photo».

Jesus González

Jesus González, official of the Public administration, vocational photographer, editor of the magazine Activates (edited by the State Department of the Social security), official photographer in the ONG «Image in action» and habitual collaborator of Magazine Atticus, has presented today an exhibition of photos that goes for title «Valladolid waits for you in the street».

From left to right: Francisco J. León de la Riva, Jesus González and Fernando Rubio.

The act there was presided by the mayor of Valladolid, Francisco Javier León de la Riva, Fernando Rubio, coordinator of Presidency and the proper author, Jesus González. The sample takes place until September 15 in the Exhibition hall that is in the parking under the Dome of the Millenium.

León de la Riva has admitted that it talks each other of «places known» but that they force the visitor to stop to try to identify the painted the portrait corner. On the other hand, Jesus González, has shown that Valladolid is a very photogenic city: "To want to paint the portrait of the soul of Valladolid is pretentious and useless, the only thing that I do is to take images in the city in which I live, in that better I know, with the intention of transmitting a point of view that surprises, so much for those who come of out as for the proper vallisoletanos».

There are fourteen exceptional photos of Valladolid to big size. There could have been two or three times more this quantity. I consist of the enormous work of Jesus and of the quality of its works. Some of them are panoramic compositions that offer an unusual aspect of our city. In the sample there appear corners as typical as the Main square, the Square of Portugalete, the street Silver (under the rain), the Square Spain, the Museum of Sculpture or the Rio Pisuerga, but also there is place for scenes of local customs and manners like that of an eaten outdoors, of what it seems to be a group of friends, making use of a party of the national team, which pays powerfully the attention for the point of view chosen by the author.
