Now you have the possibility of reading the article and of being listening to a topic of this album.

Also you it can enjoy so much this one like many other works in:

We divide it in four parts and start … for the end.

40 JULIA STONE – BY THE HORNS

The JULIA'S second album STONE alone. And do not be scared, not so much Angus Stone as proper Julia, they have thought to continue a lot of time separated. Soon we will have news about another disc of the duo. But both needed to prove that they were autosufficient. And really they it are. Although perhaps for the ears of the public Julia Stone he stands out on its brother. Because we mention already that Julia is lacked on the disc alone of Angus. On the other hand, the same does not happen when she is Julia the one that records alone. In addition to contributing a sound different from that of the duo, Angus's presence is not necessary. BY THE HORNS is a quite interesting disc that we recommend from these pages.

39 FUN. – SOME NIGHTS

FUN. has turned into one of the big revelations of the year, although SOME NIGHTS is its second work after making debut in 2009 with Aim and Ignite, an album that we recommend to check just now when they are so fashionable.
There are occasions in which behind a planetary wireless Hit, there is absolutely nothing more that this Hit. It is not the case of Fun that looks like to us a fascinating band as we have been submerging in its music, beyond the cacareadísimo We Are Young that is different of the songs of the year. SOME NIGHTS

38 RUFUS WAINWRIGHT – OUT OF THE GAME

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT reappeared with OUT OF THE GAME in the first trimester of the year. A disc for that one was waiting like May water because it had the incentive to be provided with the production of another genius: Mark Ronson. And he us was sick to Rufus Wainwright of Time exposures after happening for discs as dark as All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu (2010). Beforehand, OUT OF THE GAME had all the ingredients to obtain a certain enclosed commercial success. But inexplicably, it will go down in history like the disc of Rufus Wainwright that less its public has been interested in, to tenor of its paupérrimas numbers of sales. In spite of this fact, we keep on thinking that it is an excellent album. Probably its best work of last five years, and we keep on recommending it.

37 MICHAEL KIWANUKA – HOME AGAIN

One of the big surprises of the year was HOME AGAIN MICHAEL'S début KIWANUKA. The expectations were very high and we have to admit that he has sounded much less than it was necessary to wait to tenor of the quality of its proposal. Perhaps it turned out to be a too risky bet to emulate Bill Withers or Otis Redding or that the production of some of its courts was sounding like that of the very same Isaac Hayes in a world in which we remind few ones to Isaak Hayes. A very advisable excellent album for the lovers of the Soul and of the good music in general.

36 NEWTON FAULKNER – WRITE IT ON YOUR SKIN

Two exist NEWTON (S) FAULKNER (S), the artist who with one or two guitars and its peculiar way of touching them fills the stage leaving you with the open mouth and then the one that sounds on the disc with a much more ambitious production, which also has its grace. Because to those that we spin much dry sherry he reminds us to some works of Jeff Lynne of the past. But that very little have to do with these Faulkner videos touching directly. That's why we do not know if to recommend the disc or that you are attentive to its concerts. Because you would not also be able to say which of two Newtons Faulkners we like more.
This year we surprised with WRITE IT ON YOUR SKIN a collection of topics faithful to its style and with the same brightness of its big compositions of its album début or even better.

35 GOTYE – MAKING MIRRORS

In fact MAKING MIRRORS of GOTYE is a disc that would belong 2011. But since its success in Europe came in 2012, we have decided to include it in this list.

The big problem of speaking about GOTYE right now we were not eleven months ago old when we dedicate its monographic one. Because Somebody That I used to Know is a song immensely popularly and very much we are afraid that it is necessary to have turned in the worst enemy of its author. Since, in the end, it is feeling generalized of the public the one that ends up by pronouncing the one who is an One-Hit Wonder although those that we write on music we get into debt in defending the rest of the work of the artist in question. And for the big public, Gotye is only the author and interpreter of this song who remembers the best years of Sting and Peter Gabriel, although we should have repeated up to the exhaustion that it is a question of one of the most interesting artists of the decade.

34 CAT POWER – SUN

We had not CAT'S news POWER since it was editing Jukebox in 2008, an excellent covers disc. A little that was making us be afraid for its creativity, because six years have spent from The Greatest (2006), the last time that Chan Marshall presented unpublished material to us. In a certain way, we understand that he needed six years to drift apart from an album as The Greatest, which probably is the best of its discography, and also we understand that SUN, its new work, avenges replete with changes. In fact, it might not be otherwise. We, at least, had not admitted another tracing of The Greatest or that should cover old formulae that have already worked, after so many years. And we are grateful very much that an artist who started by being minimalista, flirts now with the electronics and can use it very intelligently for a disc replete with light and force.

33 THE VACCINES – HE EATS OF AGE

The second album is usually the acid test that it determines if a band has continuity or only they had a blow of inspiration with its album début. In case of THE VACCINES, HE EATS OF AGE he is a much more personal work and intimist that the album début that threw them to the reputation. But excepting Teenage Icon, the cuts lack the freshness and spontaneity to which they had us used, in spite of the efforts of the producer Ethan Johns. Although to be just persons, it is necessary to say that also they have won in quality and that the flute did not sound by chance the first time.

32 PIGEON FAITH – FALL TO GRACE

PIGEON FAITH triumphs with everything what it does in UK and here she keeps on being a perfect stranger in spite of way is a Spaniard. FALL TO GRACE is its second work. An album produced by Nelle Hooper responsible for some works of Björk, Madonna or Massive Attack and by Jake Goslin, fashionable producer thanks to the recent success of Ed Sheeran. This new incursion removes from two points of reference of its album début: Etta James and Billie Holiday, to get in other less classic courses - to say the least modern - and the result has been to place every single extracted in the top of the British lists. Single that Video usually comes accompanied from a cuidadísimo.

31 LIANNE THE HAVAS – IS YOUR LOVE BIG ENOUGH

A pity that IS YOUR LOVE BIG ENOUGH of LIANNE THE HAVAS has spent completely unnoticed in Spain. Every day we are sure more that the British singers of Soul are the only capable ones of revitalizing the genre - the Americans stab it with fierceness. And like example Girl On Fire, the last work of Alice Keys: Apricot up to saying basting - Although in case of The Havas we have a folk miscellany and Souls that bring it over much more to interpreters like Erykah Badu, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lauryn Hill or even to Sade, saving the distances. The Havas, also it has had no luck of coinciding with the time with Emeli Sandé, which has sold the unsaleable thing in UK and perhaps it has darkened this work. We remain with LIANNE THE HAVAS for its exquisite taste at the time of singing and composing.
