Alfredo Martirena receives the first prize in the 17th International Biennial one of Graphic Humor, Cuba 2011.

The awards of the seventeenth edition of the Biennial International one of Graphic Humor, Cuba 2011, were granted a few hours ago, and the Cuban Alfredo Martirena, drawer of the publication villaclareña Melaíto, Eduardo Abela rose with the Grand Prix for its work “Children of the war”, which also reached the first Place in political satire.

Alfredo Martirena has collaborating for a few months with Magazine Atticus. We have the big luck of being provided with a delivery of its humor every week. Martirena is an awkward man and in its vignettes he can receive learnedly the ironic one and the satire and put with its details the finger in the ulcer.

Really for this reason all that we make Magazine Atticus possible we are of congratulations and from here we want to congratulate Martirena, to give him our most sincere congratulation and to be grateful for the good reception and disposition that it has for with our publication. We know that the followers are great and that, therefore, sure that are glad about this fully deserved award.

In the last digital number, the RA13, one of its vignettes appeared already. Soon, the whole honor will be its presence in our printed edition, the number TWO (June, 2011) sharing space with other of the big ones: Andrés Faro.
