On March 8 International Day of the Woman

The International Day of the Hard-working Woman (or also International Day of the Woman) is celebrated on March 8 and is recognized by the United Nations Organization (UNO). On this day the struggle of the woman is commemorated by its participation, in equality foot with the man, in the society and in its complete development like person.

From Magazine Atticus we have wanted to do our small homage to the woman. Communicated with Alfredo Martirena one of its already habitual ones has ordered us, between nosostros, vignettes.

And also we have come to one of the universal men who recently left us, Mario Benedetti.

If God was a woman

Mario Benedetti

And if God was a woman?
Juan asks without reacting,
go, go if God was a woman
it is possible that agnostics and atheists
we were not saying not with the head
and we were saying yes with the entrails.

Perhaps we were approaching its divine nakedness
to kiss its feet not of bronze,
its pubis not of stone,
its breasts not of marble,
its lips not of plaster.

If God was a woman we would embrace it
to start it of its background
and it would not be necessary to swear
until the death separates us
since it would be immortal excellently
and instead of transmitting AIDS AIDS or panic
its immortality would infect us.

If God out woman would not settle
distant in the kingdom of the skies,
but it would wait for us in the hall of the hell,
with its not closed arms,
its rose not of plastic
and its love not of angels.

Oh my God, my God
if forever and for ages
you were a woman
what pretty scandal would be,
what fortunate, splendid, impossible,
prodigious blasphemy.
